Intermodal (combined) transport comprises the transport of goods in one and the same loading unit with two or more modes of transport – in our case by road and rail.
Frölich has had regular freight transport to and from Italy since 1973. What started with one truck per week and up to nowadays a volume of over 150 trucks per week that are moved between northern Hesse to Italy.
We regard our involvement in intermodal transport as an investment in our customers and environment. Our customers benefit from the highest level of efficiency (loading of heavier payloads up to 28 tonnes per trailer), safety (reduced risk of accidents) and reliability in transport processing.
